I copied the msttcorefonts to my home directory in ~/.fonts, then I purged the msttcorefonts package. Fonts are distributed (and installed) independently from GS since they are provided by others (not Artifex Software or the developers of Ghostscript).
If so, that could cause the failure. Maybe someone who understand a little more about fonts, ghostscript and infinality could add to this thread a real answer of what is happening; and not just a simple solution like The program was unable to find this file. Comment 16 Jerry James 2013-05-02 14:13:46 EDT There's a 3rd possibility of course: we both got lucky on our Rawhide builds and the real bug is still lurking. I am now using fontconfig-2.10.93-2.fc19 and urw-fonts-2.4-18.fc19.noarch, and I no longer have any problem with them.

Here's an interesting tidbit: running "fc-cache /usr/share/fonts/default/Type1" does NOT fix the problem. Perhaps try upgrading and make sure you install the ghostscript fonts. A other fix is to create a localmime.convs in /etc/cups and just included one line : application/postscript application/vnd.cups-postscript 0 pstops Remember to restart cups afterwards. http://xhpcreations.com/ghostscript-error/ghostscript-error-undefined-in-findfont.html Loading Hershey-Gothic-English font from /var/lib/defoma/gs.d/dirs/fonts/hrger.pfa... 3698408 1837575 5885520 4598995 1 done. 3698408 1838304 5905704 4604068 1 done.

On the failed builds, at the step where the good builds read a urw-fonts file, the failed build instead tries (and fails) to find files named NimbusRomNo9L-Regu and NimbusMonL-Regu. It looks like we are still in Heisenbug land, where the installation of fontconfig and urw-fonts sometimes lands /usr/share/fonts/default/Type1 in the cache, and sometimes doesn't. :-( Comment 44 Jerry James 2014-05-19 Otherwise it's a task for rel-eng I think.
