Can anyone please help me out here?? http://www.sqlteam.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=53474 More research might reveal different root causes: Someone might have renamed the dbProduct.dbo.product table In our case, the dbProduct database had not yet been moved to our new system Conclusion Yes, Error = [microsoft][sql Server Native Client 10.0]function Sequence Error You cannot post or upload images. Sqlstate = S1010, Nativeerror = 0 Could you please provide the exact steps to reproduce the bug including • The INSERT statement that fails, and • The table definition including data type fields It would be best
Why can't we use the toilet when the train isn't moving? http://xhpcreations.com/function-sequence/function-sequence-error-crystal.html Try changing your stored procedure so that the first line is SET NOCOUNT ON and then carry on with the rest of your SP as written, ie: create procedure dbo.testbcp as If you do find a repro for 3, please let us know. The only way I could get rid of the errors was to break things up so only one stored procedure was being executed by bcp at a time.
Fix Our fix was to move the dbProduct database to our new system. I also run this type of job without any problemSeems that you create a new Excel file and export data to itIf you do it by bcp actually the Excel file
Also, the cn object has useful error messages that can be utilized to find out what is going wrong. There are a few side effects to this that I have encountered: Conditional selects are included as part of the output schema that bcp will attempt to use and so cause I made a small change to the underlying procedure (the one that ends with a select statement and returns results). The string used for xp_cmdshell looks like this:bcp.exe "exec Test32..sp_GLExport '6/30/06', 'lwol', SQL State is: 42000' I'll check through and see if I've miss-typed anything but that's the correct table name.
I'm now trying to use stored procedure to generate the file so that I won't have to create another table (temp tables don't work either). But the error keeps popping up.
