Dealing with 451 in FTPClient directly would be a much simpler, sustainable solution.
The FTP server is running Debian and with the large amount of files, copying and moving requires work arounds using find and cpio due to the limits of command arguments that Reload to refresh your session. We've just sent you an email to . http://enterprisedt.com/questions/index.php/11081/451-broken-pipe-when-reading-large-directories-with-edtftpj Last but not least, cheers for the hard work guys!
The filename re-name fix can be applied if you rename all files from "duplicati-" to "d-", but the gain should be marginal. duplicati has made 6016 files in the FTP directory (3004 of duplicati-full-content..vol.zip.aes) for this first backup. Copying files over the network causes problems Simulated Runs SyncBack is stuck in a loop on FTP MP3 files copied even though they are not changed The maximum number of files Resuming the upload doesn’t work.
Every other user of edtFTPj potentially has the same problem slumbering when reading large directories with an aborting DirectoryListCallback. I'm interested in the resolution not just for this issue - I've used your Duplicati.Backend DLL's in some of my home hobby projects - it has made life so much easier I can personally account to this. what is happening? Finally to add to the confusion ftp_get deletes the partially downloaded file so that device is not full any more. A capture shows two strange items when this error occurs. (1) TCC sends an ACK on the data channel (port 20) which advertises Win=0 (receive window size, I imagine) and (2) OK.

If you have issue with ftp_get or ftp_nb_get and all you see in log is "ftp_get(): Transfer aborted. I'm also noticing that the latest development review isn't working for FTP - seems to get an object reference not found error.

If you figure out how to get the file list in chuncks as FileZilla apparently does, let me know, and I will try to intgrate that into Duplicati. Attached is a new version of RNDMFILE which uses the "Mersenne Twister" random number generator. Both Filezilla and any .NET calls are using ASCII file list and seem to have the same configuration so I'm at a loss. I tested the fix with a folder that has 100.000 files in it, and it seems to work quite well.
